A one-day, USCF rated chess tournament for all ages. All proceeds benefit Harmony School Chess Club.
All Scholastic players (under 12 years old) will receive 1-month ChessKid.com GOLD memberships.
Trophies and 1-year or 4-month ChessKid.com GOLD memberships ($50/each or $25/each) will be awarded to top finishers in each section.
Scholastic Sections: (players will be divided into sub-section based on ratings. There will be a section for unrated players.)
4 rounds, swiss system. Players play all rounds. G40/d5s
8:15am - Doors open -- Check-in / pick up ChessKid.com membership card.
9:00am - Check-in (onsite registration will NOT be paired for 1st round)
9:10am - Pairings will be posted
9:20am - Rules announcement
Round time:
R1 - 9:30am; R2 - 11:15am; Lunch Break; R3 - 2:15pm; R4 - 3:45pm
Award ceremony begins at 5pm.
